Gubbins is a small business located in Campbells Creek. Gubbins was a dream of mine, along with my son Kenneth Jones and his wife Mercedes. We wanted to combine our talents, knowledge and experience to create items and provide services targeting the Upper Kanawha Valley.

The word Gubbins, ironically, comes from France and Britain. It is defined as: Bits and pieces, or paraphernalia. It comes from an old French word for a bite of food or a piece of something. When the word crossed over to use in the English language it was translated as 'gob' associated with the mouth. We believed this was an appropriate name for the company because my family came from England. My father was a first generation Amerian.

Our company will be creating “bits and pieces" and "paraphernalia” through original creation and reimagining materials. We are dedicated to sustainability through finding new uses for items that others may have discarded. Gubbins will produce merchandise that focuses on local businesses and needs of residents primarily in the Upper Kanawha Valley at an affordable price.

This will include apparel, stickers, car decals, printed artwork, accessories, home goods, and novelties. We will create custom products and/or uniquely designed items. The products will be created using Cricut Maker 3, an embroidery machine (at a future date), screen printing, sublimation printer and Surface Pro. My business will reimagine apparel and accessories from materials that have been discarded. This will make these items more desirable and affordable to our customers.
